The Exceptional Women Alliance Foundation (EWA) announces that after an extensive search Shirin Behzadi has been selected for the Fall 2021 EWA Cohort.
Shirin Behzadi is a Board Director and advisor to many companies. She uses her years of experience as a successful entrepreneur and former CEO to help companies grow. Shirin understands consumer products and has built companies with hundreds of millions of dollars of sales in the consumer space. She is actively involved as an advisor, investor, and board member with several organizations including BOMANI Cold Buzz, the first alcohol-infused cold brew coffee to be introduced to the market.

“Throughout my career, I saw few women in leadership roles in the industries and spaces in which I was involved. I was nurturing a family and building companies, but I found it difficult to create a support network that included peers with similar value systems,” said Shirin. “EWA entered my life as I started the next phase of my career journey, after successfully selling the company and stepping down as CEO. Having the support, mentorship and friendship of exceptionally successful women with such depth of character has enriched my life beyond measure. The ability to share ideas and problem-solve with like-minded women has been powerful. I’m excited to continue to grow with the help of my fantastic EWA network,” she added.
A CPA and former EY Auditor with financial experience with publicly held companies, and an investor with deep knowledge, Shirin is a seasoned financial professional. As a former CEO with partnership with private equity, she understands growth, marketing, business strategy, finance, cash management, M&A, and successful exit strategies.
Her philanthropic work includes serving as Board member with Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and Orange County United Way. In March 2021, Shirin was on the cover of the International Women’s Day Forbes edition. Shirin has received numerous awards including Entrepreneur Of The Year 2018 Orange County award recipient, Association for Corporate Growth Fastest Growing Company in 2015, Orange County Business Journal 500 Most Influential 2017 and Innovation Award by Franchise.com.
